It had been a couple of weeks since the old chev had seen any daylight and with our hot Aussie summer just one sleep away it was a good time to point the radiator up over the steep ploughed Thorpdale hills of Gippsland and nudge myself little closer to the perfect blue sky for a couple of hours and as always I stumbled across some old corrugated farm building which had seen better days but now as a great backdrop to Monty in a photo, it certainly looks great..
In 1969 dad rescued this 1928 Chevrolet (10,485 original miles) off a Gippsland farm, he then stored it for a further 41 yrs in his workshop. A few months before dad was suddenly diagnosed with "AML Leukemia" in May of 2010 we spoke about getting it out of the shed, dads said "We'll get it running but we're not painting it all fancy". Sadly this never happened as dad passed away after a 6 week battle on 14th June 2010, I owe dad this restoration so here is my story of "Monty" our 1928 Chevrolet.

A New Family Member
Gidday,
About a month ago on the 4th October at 2.25am our beautiful little 3 and a half year old dog "Bella" suddenly passed away over night from some type of liver failure, it was very quick and as a family we were shattered, as all pet owners would understand and would of been themselves, you just get so attached to your pets and she will be sadly missed. R.I.P Bella xxoo
So how long do we wait? do we get another dog? these two questions we have tossed around as a family for the last month endlessly, we love our pets and get heaps of love and affection in return from them always, they don't ask for much but give back so very much, they should and always do slot right in to become a special member of our family, that's just how it works around here.
So along stumbles tiny "Posy" a ball of fluff at just 6 weeks of age last Friday the 4th November or "Po" for short as she has quickly been nicknamed, she is a toy "moodle" which is a Maltese x miniature poodle and yes she has fitted in very well and no doubt you will see her on this blog over the coming years in the odd photo - Cheers
